I explore how movement and memory are connected through the body using photography and other mediums. More interested in process rather than outcome, I draw from my own bodily history of learning sequences of movements as a dancer and apply it to making images. In this way I can reflect on how movement is initiated. Do I move in response to sight or light or space? Do I move by habit simply to get from A to B?
I image movement in stillness and stillness in movement slowed down by water or settings inside the camera - pinhole, flash, light manipulation using mirrors and the rule of reciprocity in photography.
