Feel the pulse – Arts-Based Approaches at NordiCHI 2026
With Rebekah Rousi and Johanna Silvennoinen, I co-chaired the first Arts-Based Approaches track and exhibition at NordiCHI 2026, the Nordic conference on human–computer interaction co-hosted by the University of Vaasa and Åbo Akademi. Our post for the University of Vaasa blog looks at why arts-based methods matter for research and public conversation about technology, including AI, introduces some of the works shown, and makes the case for arts-based approaches becoming a regular part of HCI.
Co-written with Rebekah Rousi and Johanna Silvennoinen. First published on the University of Vaasa blog (Ajatusviiva), 26 October 2026.
